with antialiasing you can avoid ugly steps in your drawing and make it smoother.

gradations:
you can define your own color gradations and then use linear, radial, conical and rectangular filling.

opacity:
you can define the opacity of each drawing tool.
in the first example the black and white lines were drawn with 70% opacity making them look better than with pure black and white.
in the second example a black rectangle was drawn with 30% opacity letting the bottom image shine through.

you can easily control the brightness/saturation of your drawing (or parts of it). in this example the saturation was increased.

you can easily control the contrast of your drawing (or parts of it). in this example the contrast was increased.

the shadow function let's you create shadows in any color you like. you can place the shadow wherever you want (combine this function with the opacity setting for great effects).
